Lake George Seniors Lend a Hand on Give Back Day

On Tuesday, May 20, Lake George High School seniors traded their textbooks for tools, stepping into the community for Senior Give Back Day. This annual event allows seniors the opportunity to give back to the community that has supported them throughout their school years.

Groups of students fanned out across Lake George to complete a variety of service projects. Some organized shelves at the Caldwell Library, others tidied up the grounds at St. James Church and Sacred Heart Church, and another team planted flowers at the Village Garden. Environmental efforts were also a focus, with students cleaning up roadsides, several Lake George islands, and the Rotary Exit 21 Corner. Additional teams volunteered at the Warren Center and contributed to the work of the Ben Osborne Memorial Fund.

By lunchtime, the seniors had worked up an appetite and gathered at Shepard Park, where the Lake George Rotary generously provided a meal. It was a time to relax, swap stories, and reflect on the positive impact of their efforts.

Senior Give Back Day isn’t just about tidying up or lending a hand, it’s about deepening the connection between students and the vibrant Lake George community they call home. We are so proud of the Class of 2025!
