  • Engaging Students Beyond the Classroom

    One of the district’s goals is to ensure that 100% of students in grades K-12 participate in at least one co-curricular activity beyond the traditional classroom every year. The Elementary School is pleased to report that as of January 3, 2018, 77% of elementary students have already participated in at least one co-curricular activity.

  • Leader in Me Lighthouse Teams Cultivate Welcoming Entrance

    During Phase I of the Capital Project, which occurred as the District building project came to a close a little over a year ago, Elementary Principal Jim Conway was asked about the landscaping in front of the Elementary School. He suggested that instead of making this decision himself, that the students have a voice in what was planted. Mr. Conway asked the Student Lighthouse Team what they thought, and they worked with their advisor Mrs. Moellman (Elementary School Social Worker) to brainstorm ideas that went well beyond adding a tree and some flowers.

  • Korean War Veterans Brought History to Life

    The Lake George Central School District welcomed veterans from the Adirondack Chapter No. 60 of the Korean War Veterans Association Inc. to the Lake George High School Auditorium.

    The Three Billy Goats Gruff will be able to cross the river safely without interference from the troll due to a very special collaboration between Lake George Kindergarteners and Lake George High School Seniors.

  • Award Winning Author Spent Time at LGES

    The Lake George Central School District was excited to welcome Author Cynthia Lord to the Elementary School. Lord is a former elementary and middle school teacher whose debut novel, Rules, won a Newbery Honor Award and a Schneider Family Book Award. Her other middle-grade novels include Touch Blue, Half a Chance, and A Handful of Stars. She wrote an early chapter book series, Shelter Pet Squad, as well as early readers and picture books starring Hot Rod Hamster.
