On Tuesday, May 20, voters in Lake George Central School District passed a $26,035,922 budget proposal for the 2025-26 school year by a vote of 351-68. Under the approved budget, a 2.23% tax increase will maintain high-quality programming for Lake George students next year.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to our community for their support of our students. This budget allows us to continue providing an enriching educational experience for every child in the Lake George Central School District,” said Superintendent John Luthringer. “It’s a testament to what we can achieve together, and fuels our ongoing commitment to building futures characterized by opportunity and academic excellence.”
Voters elected the following candidates to fill three open seats on the Lake George Board of Education:
- Board Member Maryanne MacKenzie – 358 votes
- Term through June 30, 2028
- Board Member Mario Fasulo – 367 votes
- Term through June 30, 2028
- Board Member Mike Fish – 370 votes
- Term through June 30, 2028
