Lake George Schools Honor Veterans with Tributes

Lake George Central School District once again came together in gratitude and remembrance to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. Both Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School and Lake George Elementary School marked Veterans Day with displays of respect, patriotism, and community spirit.

At Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School, students joined Fort William Henry to prepare the breathtaking Field of Flags display. Thousands of flags were carefully placed on the historic grounds to pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our nation. This annual act of service has become a tradition for students, showing their deep appreciation for veterans and their commitment to honoring their legacy.

At Lake George Elementary School, students and staff gathered for a Veterans Day ceremony. The program highlighted the meaning and importance of the day through songs, reflection, and celebration. Students performed patriotic music and joined together for an exciting sing-along, filling the gym with gratitude and pride.

A special thank you was shared for Mr. Denton, a veteran and dedicated member of the Lake George faculty, and Ms. Meyer, LGES. music teacher, who is currently serving on active duty.
