Power Update for Jr.-Sr. High School

Dear Lake George Families and Staff Members:

We want to provide an update regarding the power outage that is still occurring. We are continuing to communicate with National Grid; however, they are unable to provide a definitive timeframe for restoration of power to the Jr.-Sr. High School. In the event we continue to not have power we want to share with you our anticipated plans.

In the event that there continues to be no electrical power at the Jr.-Sr. High School on Thursday, March 19, 2026:

  • Jr.-Sr. High School Staff will report to the Elementary School to begin planning for a possible transition to remote learning in the event the power outage continues beyond Thursday.
  • Starting at 8:00 a.m., Jr.-Sr. High School Students will be able to go to the building to pick up any devices or items from their lockers that they may need.
  • Students should plan to check into their Google Classrooms starting at 10 a.m. as teachers will begin to provide assignments and check in with their classes asynchronously.
  • If the Jr.-Sr. High School is without power beyond Thursday, March 19th, we will transition to remote learning officially on Friday, March 20, and additional information would be shared with students and families.

This is our tentative plan in the event the power remains out. As soon as we have more information we will communicate with you. We appreciate your flexibility and patience as we navigate the results of the recent storm.
