Universal Pre-kindergarten (UPK)

The Lake Central School District is pleased to announce the creation of a full-day Universal Pre-Kindergarten program for the 2024-25 school year. The Universal Pre-Kindergarten program (UPK) is a free Pre-K program, funded by New York State for four-year-old children who reside in the district. If you are a Lake George School District resident, and your child will be 4 years old as of December 1 for the school year for which you are applying, you are eligible to apply for this program.

How To Apply for the Universal Pre-K Program

At this time, we are able to offer 18 spots at Lake George Elementary School. To enroll your child in Lake George’s pre-K program, please first contact (who to contact, name) to add your name to the list.  We will directly notify people on that list with information on how to fill out an application for their child(ren). A random lottery will be used to determine selection. All students not selected would automatically be added to a wait-list.

Questions may be directed to James Conway, Lake George Elementary School Principal, conwayj@lkgeorge.org or (518) 668-5714
