LAKE GEORGE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT PASSES BUDGET

On Tuesday, May 16, voters in Lake George Central School District passed a $24,808,692 budget proposal for the 2023-24 school year by a vote of 628-254. Under the approved budget, a 2.29% tax increase will maintain programming and enhance safety for Lake George students next year.


“We are thankful and appreciative for our school community. This budget represents a balanced and strong future for all students within the Lake George Central School District,”  says Superintendent John Luthringer. 

 

The voters also approved the purchase of two additional 60-passenger buses at a cost not to exceed $302,092 by a vote of 662 to 217.

 

Voters elected the following candidates to fill two open seats on the Lake George Board of Education:

  • Board Member Jeannine Bieber -  566 votes

    • Term through June 30, 2026 

  • Board Member Rosemarie Earl - 598 votes

    • Term through June 30, 2026

  • Linda Clark received 351 votes
