Herrick and Martineau Honored with CASDA Award

Every year, the Capital Area School Development Association (CASDA) honors outstanding seniors from high schools throughout the capital region and the teachers who have had a significant impact on their education.

Congratulations to Lake George Senior Isaac Herrick for receiving the 2022 CASDA Capital Region Students and Teachers Who Make a Difference Award. Isaac was nominated for the award for his academic achievement, community service, and leadership. Isaac is class president, president of the National Honor Society and leader of the Rock Solid mentoring program, all while being ranked first in his class. He is a 3-sport athlete, 5-time team captain, 2-time Adirondack League MVP for Cross Country, competed in the NYS Cross Country Championships and was a programmer for the NYS VEX Robotics State Championship Team.

Isaac selected World Language Teacher Mrs. Martineau as the teacher who has had a significant influence on his education: "Madame Martineau’s ability to teach and make her students enjoy French through games and immersion activities inspired me to earn the Seal of Biliteracy in French."

Isaac will be attending Boston University to study biomedical engineering in the fall.
