LGES Students Got to "Shop with a Cop"

We are not sure who had more fun ~ the children or the law enforcement officers ~ as they ventured to Target to "Shop with a Cop."

Lake George Elementary School Resource Officer Rob LeBarron reached out to his friend, Trooper Keith Parker, who heads up the local "Shop with a Cop" initiative to line up the adventure. Trooper Parker enlisted the help of Troopers Erin Mulcahy, Stephanie O'Neil, Josh Galvin, and Andrew Beck to shop with the children.

Prior to the shopping spree, Officer LeBarron talked with the children about prioritizing wants and needs. The officers drove the children to Target after school and delivered them home with all their packages.

The goal of "Shop with a Cop" is simple ~ to make the holidays special for children. Many thanks to the New York State Police Troopers Foundation for sponsoring this wonderful outing and to the Troopers for being so generous with their time and resources.
