Robotics Teams Earned Top Scores in Virtual International Skills Tournament

Three Lake George Robotics teams – 64040A, B, and C – entered their first Virtual International skills tournament via Google Meet and breakout rooms. They competed with teams from New York, Pennsylvania, California, Alabama, Washington, and Taiwan.

The Lake George teams competed in Programmer Autonomous skills and Driver skills based on this year's challenge. Lake George 64040A placed first out of all New York teams with Driver and Programmer high scores placing them third overall, narrowly behind the California and Washington teams.

Lake George 64040A, and 64040B are currently ranked in the top 10 in NYS, and 64040A is in the 95th percentile of all teams registered around the world!

This group has been working on these complex systems and programming since October 2020. Through all the challenges of COVID-19, and despite the uncertainty of tournaments, they have persevered during this challenging year. We are very proud!
