Lake George Hosted its First-Ever VIRTUAL FBLA Spring District Meeting

The annual NYS District 5 FBLA Spring District Meeting was held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Seven students from two school districts (Lake George & Boquet Valley) competed in the following events:  Job Interview, Intro to Public Speaking, Public Speaking, Impromptu Speaking, and Client Service.

Google Meet worked well as the virtual platform for the event. The Breakout Room feature of Google Meet provided flexibility for providing specific "rooms” for the various events. A special thank you to Rosemarie and Todd Earl, Tricia Biles, Katie Bruening, and Brian Adelson for serving as the virtual judges for the events. Madeleine Biles, senior at Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School and the NYS FBLA Reporter, organized the virtual event.

We are proud to announce that the following Lake George students have qualified as finalists in their respective events and will be representing District 5 at the NYS FBLA State Leadership Conference in April 2021:

  • Trinity Leach (Impromptu Speaking)
  • Lilli Hunsinger (Client Service)
  • Anna Richichi (Public Speaking)
  • Valerie Tennyson (Intro. To Public Speaking)
  • and Joe Tornabene (Job Interview)
