Dunsmore to Bowl at Lindenwood University

Lake George High School Senior Garrett Dunsmore signed a National Letter of Intent on Friday, January 22, 2021 to continue his academic and athletic career at Lindenwood University, St. Charles, MO. 

Dunsmore was promoted to the Lake George Varsity Bowling Team when he was in seventh grade. He carries the highest average on the team at 212. He earned many individual and team awards as part of the team including: 

  • Lake George Varsity Bowling Team captain for three years
  • First Team All Stars Selection for 4 years 
  • Adirondack League MVP 2020
  • 3 time, 3 game high series winner
  • 3 time, 6 game high series winner
  • 2 Top 5 finishes in NYS Championships
  • 4 Top 10 individual placements at Sectionals
  • Adirondack League Champion 2018
  • USBC Single Major men’s tournament winner
  • Nomination for USBC youth ambassador of the year
  • University of Mckendree Presidential Scholarship winner
  • Nomination for Dexter Bowling All-American Team
  • Lindenwood University Athletic Scholarship for men’s bowling
  • Lindenwood University Academic Scholarship

In addition to being a High Honor Roll student at Lake George Jr.-Sr. High School. Dunsmore is an Honor Roll student in his Career and Technical Education Criminal Justice program at the F. Donald Myers Education Center. He also participated in soccer and track and field. 

“We are very proud of all of Garrett’s accomplishments, and I am thrilled that is being recognized and provided with these scholarship opportunities,” said Lake George CSD Superintendent Lynne Rutnik. “I hope he remembers us when he’s famous!”
