Water Test Results

In 2016, Governor Cuomo signed legislation requiring all school districts in New York State to test potable water systems for lead and take responsive actions as needed. The legislation required districts to perform lead testing in 2016, 2020, and at least every five years thereafter or at an earlier time as determined by the Commissioner of Health.

On October 2, 2020, Lake George CSD completed its second round of water testing. Based on the laboratory results, no sources of potable water have been identified as having lead concentrations in drinking water above the NYS Action Level of 15 parts per billion.

Testing was done in accordance with the requirements of NYS regulations, SUBPART 67-4: Lead Testing in School Drinking Water.  Schools are required to report all lead testing results on their website and to the New York State Department of Health. Listed below are the analysis results for the sampling that took place on October 2, 2020.
