The District is Ready to Move Into Phase III

Dear Lake George Faculty, Staff, Parents, and Students,
I could not be more proud to serve as the Lake George CSD Superintendent in a time of change, challenge and opportunity! Let me begin by expressing my gratitude to all for providing feedback regarding our Reopening and Return to School. Based on the responses, an overwhelming majority of parents, faculty/staff, and students feel the district is ready to move into Phase III,  in-person instruction, beginning on Monday, September 28, 2020. Our results, once again, evidence the commitment to partnership, safety, and connectedness for the sake of our district stakeholders. The following are a summation of the our reopening- check-in survey:

  • 132 responses from Parents/Guardians
  • 81 responses from Faculty/Staff
  • 371 responses from Students in Grades 5-12

In addition, after engaging in our “ease-in” reopening phases, if your child is ready to shift  to in-person instruction, we encourage you to do so at this time.  Please reach out to your principal immediately to let him know if you would like your child to re-enter on September 28.

Please know that our dedicated administrative team has also reviewed the noted areas in need of improvement. We plan to address the themes that came out of the survey to increase confidence in all stakeholders moving to in-person instruction in Phase III on Monday, September 28, 2020.

We are excited to progress to Phase III, and we are mindful that COVID-19 is still present. We will be sending home additional communications in the near future regarding what would happen should an individual in our school community test positive for the virus.

Just a reminder that many of the events on the printed calendar that was mailed home have changed. Please check with the building principal on the status prior to the scheduled event.

Thank you,

Lynne Rutnik
