C.R.E.A.T.E. Students Recognized for Thinking of Others
The C.R.E.A.T.E. Students of the Month for October 2019 were recognized by the Board of Education at their last meeting for thinking of others.
Sixth Grader Kari Lynn is a kind-hearted and empathetic individual who organized a collection drive for the WAIT House, which was done on her own with minimal adult help. She is a model student who greets both students and staff with a smile and hello. She is a top student who participates in Battle of the Books, Young Scholars, Band, Chorus and last year's first-ever Cabaret. While she was in fifth grade, Kari volunteered to help Mrs. Montville with the second graders. She is always willing to work and collaborate successfully.
High School Seniors Jaime Smith and Tess Armstrong went above and beyond to welcome incoming students at the beginning of the school year by placing post-it notes with inspirational quotes on everyone's lockers. Jaime and Tess both noted that we don't know the struggles a person might have, and little small words of kindness can change a person's day. They wanted to do that for our student body.
Congratulations to all three C.R.E.A.T.E. students of the month who embody the district's core values of Collaboration, Respect, Empathy, Accountability, Trust, and Excellence.
