Board of Education Appointed Interim Business Official
The Lake George Central School District Board of Education appointed Mr. John Hales as the interim business official following the retirement of Mrs. Kathleen DuBois. Mr. Hales is a local, retired business official who has over 13-years experience as a school business official. He comes highly recommended by peers in his field.
Mr. Hales has been working with Mrs. DuBois on the transition process. He will be in the business office on Tuesdays and Thursdays to ensure things continue to run smoothly until the district can hire a new business administrator.
The interview process for a permanent school business administrator will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 with a variety of stakeholders including members of the faculty association, leadership team, Board of Education, and business office. Mr. Hales and Superintendent Rutnik will facilitate two groups of seven to eight individuals for each interview committee. This will allow a broad array of questions to be asked, and it will allow the stakeholders to get to know the candidates before recommending two candidates for final consideration to the superintendent. The process will end with a recommendation to the Board of Education and an introduction to the faculty and staff at a later date.
