How to Personalize Notification Settings in SchoolMessenger

With the winter weather upon us, the district's use of the SchoolMessenger Emergency Alert System will likely increase. We want all parents and guardians to understand that you may be getting phone calls as early as 5 a.m. in the event of a snow day or delay. If you prefer not to be woken up at 5 a.m., please click here for directions on how to set your notification preferences online.

The district uses SchoolMessenger for immediate notification in high priority situations such as:

  1. Emergency/evacuation
  2. Snow days
  3. Unanticipated early release

School Messenger will not replace existing channels of communication. It will be used in addition to the website, newsletters, e-blasts, and the “LakeGeorgeCSD” Facebook page and Twitter account.

Emails, phone calls, and backpack reminders will remain in place as the primary methods of communication to support home-school connections.
