Warren County Sheriff's Office

  • School Resource Officer Unit

The School Officer Unit has nine members that serve as representatives to the Sheriff's Office in Warren County School Districts.  These officers are specifically trained to interact with the school community, parents, faculty and staff.  They are capable of providing instruction in a variety of preventive and educational areas. These members attend school functions as requested and are available for crisis intervention periods when a particular community is dealing with an emotional issue.

The Sheriff’s Office assigns a school officer to every school district in Warren County except  the city school system in Glens Falls.  Officers work in the North Warren, Bolton Landing, Johnsburg, Warrensburg, Lake George, Hadley-Luzerne, Queensbury and St. Alphonsus school systems.

A Deputy Sheriff is assigned to Lake George Central School as our School Resource Officer and can be contacted by phone at 743-2500 or 668-5452.

Lieutenant Robert A. Smith is this Unit's Supervisor.
