ABOUT THE TEACHER

Bonjour! je m'appelle Madame Martineau. Je suis québécoise. Je viens d'un petit village qui s'appelle Saint-Donat, à deux heures au nord de Montréal. C'est un petit village comme le lac George avec des lacs et des montagnes. // My name is Mrs. Martineau. I am from Quebec. I'm from Saint-Donat , a small town similar to Lake George with lakes and mountains.  J'ai fait mes études à Montréal en littérature française. Après, j'ai voyagé et j'ai travaillé. J'ai par la suite décidé de devenir prof. J'ai obtenu un certificat en éducation et j'ai enseigné le français langue maternelle.// I studied French Literature in Montreal. Then, I travelled extensively, and worked odd jobs. I later decided to become a teacher. I got a degree in Education and taught French as a first language. J'habite aux Etats-Unis depuis 1999. J'ai habité à Long Island et travaillé à Brooklyn, J'ai complété un baccalauréat en espagnol et une maîtrise en arts libéraux. Je suis déménagée au Lac George en 2004./I  moved to the  USA in 1999. I first lived in Long Island and worked in Brooklyn. Meanwhile I got a Bachelor in Spanish and a Master Degree in Liberal Arts. I moved to Lake George in 2004. I joined Lake George High School after one year at Maple Avenue in Saratoga Springs // Maintenant, j'enseigne l'espagnol et le français à l'élémentaire et au secondaire. Les gens d'ici sont fantastiques et je vois souvent mes anciens compatriotes du Québec, alors, je me souviens....//Now, I teach both Spanish and French from 3-12.  Students here are great and welcoming. Driving around,  I often see Quebec's license plates , so I remember where I'm from...
