This Global History course will cover all material students will need to pass the New York State Global History and Geography Regents. The Regents exam will be taken at the end of 10th grade. This is a two year course for 9th and 10th grade. Throughout your 9th grade year, you will focus on the history, geography, and economics of the world. You will be given the opportunity to explore what happened throughout the world in different civilizations. All the material will be learned through group and also individual activities. You will be given a Table of Contents for the Quarter to keep track of all your papers. Students will also get practice in writing essays such as document based questions (DBQ).
