Drinking and College  As parents prepare to send off their high school seniors to college, they should be sure to address the issue of college drinking..  These sites provide helpful information (research, incident rates, advice, and tips) to help parents and students develop a plan to prevent alcohol from ruining the college experience.

Partnership for a Drug Free America
National Families in Action (NFIA) National Families in Action was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1977. Its mission is to help families and communities prevent drug use among children by promoting policies based on science.
Council for Prevention  A local agency that addresses the issues of alcohol and substance abuse in Washington and Warren Counties.

Active Parenting Publishers  Publishing company website.  Offers parenting style survey, information on parenting resources and online discussion groups, and links to other useful sites.

Dads and Daughters (DADS)  Dads and daughters is the national education and advocacy nonprofit for fathers and daughters.  DADs provides tools to strengthen father-daughter relationships and transform pervasive cultural message that value daughters more for how they look than who they are.

 

 

Teen Employment

Working Papers  The New York State Department of Labor web site.  Provides information to help you acquire working papers for teens.  Note: Students age 14 years of age or older may visit the Lake George High School main office to pick up an application for working papers.
