Computer-Aided Design

Did you know... If you receive a greeting card that plays "Happy Birthday" when it is opened, and you throw it away, you will be throwing away more computer technology than existed in the entire world before 1950.

Course Description

Attention drawing students.  If you enjoy problem solving, technical drawing, and computer-aided design, then this course is for you!  CAD students complete five required drawings designed to reinforce and expand drawing skills developed in DDP.  Students are then free to create a concept design as a term project.  Past projects have included the following designs:

                       The Space Shuttle

                       Skateboard Park Designs

                       Concept Airplanes

                       Electric Guitars

                       Futuristic Automobiles

                       High-Tech Boats and Water Craft

Students may earn up to six hours of college credit by completing the TEC 169 and 170 skill inventories.
