Brain Bee Performs Admirabl"ee"!

Brandon Seaman, Mike Ryba, Colin Gordon, John Etu, Matt Hayes and Allen Hoffman represented Lake George Central School at the 5th annual Brain Bee at Glens Falls Hospital May 23rd. Our two teams competed with South Glens Falls, Glens Falls and the New Visions at Ellis Hospital and BOCES students. Dr. Jim Fuchs, board member of the Lake George Central School was Master of Ceremonies. The Lake George PTSO was one of the sponsors for this competition.

15 seniors and 1 sophomore from Ms. Ross' Model OAS class participated in a 4 day excursion of Washington DC and it's environs to learn more about not only the government of the United States, but those of Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Lake George Plays Host To Saga City Visitors

Lake George High School recently played host to two dozen students and chaperones from Saga City, Japan as part of a student exchange program that began in 1998.

LG FBLA Demonstrates Strong Leadership At State Competition

Congratulations to the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) students who attended the FBLA State Leadership Conference--April 3-5, 2006 at the Nevele Grande Hotel. The ten students attending were: Nasreen Bhatti, Rob Bondy, Alex Bruhns, Melissa Marschner, Ashley McGinnis, Adam Pensel, Joe Portes, Chris Tholl, Josh Winig, Christine Zivica. FBLA state award winners were:

  • 5th Place: Joe Portes--Entrepreneurship Individual Test

  • 5th Place: Rob Bondy--Job Interviewing

  • 4th Place: Ashley McGinnis--Public Speaking I

  • 3rd Place: Adam Pensel--Public Speaking II

  • 2nd Place: Joe Portes, Rob Bondy, Adam Pensel--Entrepreneurship Team

For Revamped School Entrance

The main entrance of the Jr/Sr High School building, built in the early 1900's, has recently been transformed into a gorgeous welcome to visitors, students, faculty and staff thanks to the efforts of two Lake George students.
