The meeting opened with introduction of new members.
Dave Eagle, who acted as chairperson for this meeting, gave a brief overview of our guidelines and announced that Kathleen Ross, BOCES Director of School Support Services, has been invited to our September 14th meeting to offer training on the shared decision-making team process.

List of meeting dates for this year. Our meetings run from 2:40-4:15, generally the second Tuesday of each month with November’s meeting being held on a Thursday. Members were reminded to try to set aside these dates when making doctor or dental appointments, etc.§
List of Constituents/Level Groups – this list will be updated with new teachers and will be attached to minutes. Members were reminded to keep attendance for accountability purposes and to turn attendance in to him each month.§
Forum Membership List – this list is for information only and gives dates of membership for the past eight years. Parent rep, Peggy Jones’ term will be up in September and she has decided not to run this year. Interested parents should apply for this two-year term through PTA and will be elected at our Open House on Thursday, October 7th. Student rep(s) will be elected through Student Council when it convenes in September.§
Head of Department Minutes for June – members were asked to share high points of these minutes with their constituents at their regular meetings.§
Forum Guide Lines – roles of members were briefly discussed and will be fully covered at the workshop given by Kathleen Ross at our next meeting.§
Forum Goals for 2003-2004 – last year’s goals were briefly discussed and we began the process to update for the upcoming year. Attached is the first draft of our proposed goals for 2004-2005. Reps are asked to look at the draft and bring their suggestions and ideas to the September Forum meeting where we will complete the draft for reps to share with their constituents at their September meeting. We will then finalize our annual goals at our October meeting. (NOTE: changes/additions are in italics.)
Next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 14th at 2:40 in the Alumni Room.
